Beach Joy

I took an Oregon Coast trip in 2010, and found a secluded beach and was able to be naked next to Pacific Ocean. As I was growing into myself, I wanted to have more of my identity speak through my photography. I am playful by nature and wanted more of my personality to come through my photography rather than the seemingly constant seriousness. So I began to let more of my childlike wonder and sense of play come through.

Striving toward playfulness also brought more joy into my photoshoots. And once again, more joy in simply being nude in nature. I thought more about the stigma of nudity and how it is such a bummer that society is so afraid of the natural human form.

Sheer exhilaration in facing the ocean, free of all constraints, just skin and surf.

Nude Soul
Male nude self-portrait standing joyfully in the Pacific Ocean surf, arms raised as waves roll onto the beach.
Pure joy in the Pacific, running into the surf, throwing my arms open, and simply enjoying the freedom of being nude in nature.
